Level Four

Practice is over! It’s time to put on a show. In Level 4, dog and handler teams take the skills they’ve learned and put them together to navigate fun and interesting challenges designed to simulate real world situations. Can you navigate a busy farmer’s market? How about hanging out calmly at a café? Will your dog make it through the recall gauntlet without being distract by food, toys, dogs and people? Level 4 is all about refining and strengthening skills to increase reliability – no matter what challenges you encounter!

Cost: $240 for six classes.
Duration: 50 minutes.
Requirements:
– Dog has graduated Level 3 at TPR.
– Handler is over the age of 18.
– One handler per dog.
– Dog has received Rabies and DHPP vaccines.

Take a look at our frequently asked questions for more information about Level 1 class.

Do I attend class with my dog?

Yes! Our Levels classes are in person, so you should plan for someone to attend with your pup.

Can multiple handlers attend class?

Unfortunately, at this time, we are still only allowing one handler per pup. Handlers can switch off between each class session, however.

I'd like for my child to attend as the dog's handler. Is that okay?

As much as we love the idea of the whole family being involved with your pup’s training, all handlers in class MUST be over the age of 18.

What happens if I miss one or more classes?

If you are signed up for a class and fail to show up, or attempt to withdraw less than 12 hours before the start, you will lose the class credit.

Can I attend multiple classes?

Sure, as long as the classes aren’t on back to back days, and you don’t exceed three sessions per week!

What vaccines does my dog need for class?

We require proof of up to date Rabies and DHPP. That can be submitted at the time of enrollment, via email or brought to class in person.

I took class elsewhere. Can I sign up for Level 4?

Because our classes have a set graduation criteria, all pups must have graduated Levels 1 through 3 to attend class, which means they must attend at least one class of each level. If your pup is able to complete the six skills and receive their stamps, you are welcome to use the remainder of your package on the next level!

Help! I already purchased a package but can't seem to find the link to enroll in class.

No problem! The class enrollment link is sent out via email when you purchase your package. Alternatively, if you click the button above that says ‘View Class Availability’ and then use the red button on the following page, you should be able to enter your EMAIL ADDRESS to apply your credits and get scheduling!

My dog is highly reactive or fearful. Will they be alright to attend class?

While it’s hard to tell prior to meeting your pup, we suggest scheduling a free phone consult to chat with a trainer about what the best fit for your pup is. You can do that using the CONTACT US page.

My dog is in heat. Can she still attend class?

Unfortunately, a pup in active heat is not allowed to attend class, so you will need to reschedule accordingly!

What method do you use for training?

We are a LIMA-based facility, meaning we use the least intrusive, minimally aversive methods to train and modify behavior. We focus on using positive reinforcement to teach the dog what TO do. We do not use e-collars, prongs, or choke collars.

My dog is sick with ____. Can they still join classes?

Poor pup! Unfortunately, they cannot attend class until they are cleared. Before your pup can return to classes, you will need to supply a note from your vet stating that your dog is “healthy, non-contagious and appropriate for a group setting.” The note should be emailed to the office before you resume classes.
