1 Night Canine Massage Workshop

Feb 25,2016 – Time: 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

The goal of this workshop is to teach basic massage strokes to help connect people to their dog’s overall wellness. At the end of the workshop you should have an understanding of three basic massage techniques and how and when to use them.

Why massage?

Massage is a non-invasive, holistic therapy which enhances wellness and comfort in animals of all ages. Massage inhibits the “stress reaction” and activates the parasympathetic nervous system, during which:

  • Breathing deepens, increasing oxygen supply to nourish and repair organs and tissues

  • The pain cycle is interrupted as endorphins are released

  • Physical touch relieves muscle restrictions, stiffness, and spasms

  • There is less stress on tendons, ligaments, cartilage and joints

  • Circulation is improved

  • The immune system is bolstered
